John Munoz

John Munoz began training in martial arts in his early teens, studying boxing, wrestling, kung fu and judo.

In 1993, John trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu with Larry Bebe, then later with Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Pedro Carvalho in Montclair, CA. In late 1994, Pedro returned to Brazil, leaving sixth degree black belt Joe Moreira his studio. John later joined the Joe Moreira Competition Team as a white belt and competed from 1994-2001. John was awarded his black belt by Joe Moreira in December 2001 and is currently a 2nd degree black belt.

In January of 2004, John opened the United Submission Academy in Norco, CA which is now the C-Quence Jiu-jitsu - Norco location.

Anthony Del Valle

In 1997, Anthony Del Valle was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu by Andre Lima (BJJ Black Belt under the Machados). He also trained under Rick Minter (BJJ Black Belt under Rigan Machado), then Gerson Sanginitto (BJJ Black Belt under Gracie Barra). 

In late 1998, he began training at United Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under Pedro Carvalho (BJJ Black Belt) and Rommel Dunbar (BJJ Black Belt). Two years later, he continued his training under John Munoz (2nd degree Black Belt under Joe Moreira). After more than 10 years of training, in 2007 Anthony received his Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Black Belt under John Munoz. 

Anthony’s  training under different jiu-jitsu instructors over the past 12 years has given him a unique insight of different fighting styles and teaching methods which he uses to teach all levels of students.
